NIACLC Statement: 25th Anniversary of the Belfast Good Friday Agreement (GFA)

The Northern Ireland African and Caribbean Leadership Consortium join civic society in Northern Ireland to celebrate and recognise the significance of the Belfast Good Friday Agreement.

Alfred Abolarin, Convener of NIACLC said, '25 years years on and a peaceful Northern Ireland has become a beacon of hope, light and inspiration. It has become the bedrock upon which multitudes of diverse dreams across communities and different backgrounds flourish and thrive. To those who took part in the negotiations; to those present and to those who have sadly passed away, Generations will remember your great work.

This year coincidentally marks the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of the African and Caribbean Support Organisation, Northern Ireland, (ACSONI). Thank you to all those who have contributed and continue to contribute to making our society a wonderful place; where equality, fairness, equity and peace reign.'

On this day, as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the GFA, the African and Caribbean Leadership Consortium is happy to launch its new website: www.niaclc.org
